A Rainy Day to Say "I Do"
When Victoria told me her and Andrew’s wedding locale would be the same lovely town as their engagement shoot, I was ecstatic. Destination weddings, yes, even if the travel time is less than two hours, thrill me.
Poughkeepsie, New York—A story book wedding waiting to happen. Then, it did.
The Hudson River provided the mural for The Grandview, a lovely wedding venue. And yes, their view is grand. Victoria looked absolutely stunning in her gorgeous wedding dress.
The rain took a break for a beautiful photo shoot with the bridge in the background. The lighting made for lovely photos…a slight overcast held shadows at bay. When the skies opened up and released a downpour, we retreated to the enormous tent where everything was amazing—the food, the décor, the music, the guests, the wedding party, and especially the bride and groom. Just amazing.
After a night of dancing, we snuck a way for a few romantic shots of Victoria and Andrew under an umbrella with the bridge lit up in the distance. It was the perfect ending to a perfect day.
