Rainfalls & Romance

My first wedding of 2019 was one of the most beautiful weddings I’ve ever photographed! Farrah and Anthony’s wedding day started off as a rainy day in January. We spent the morning at the very eclectic and historic boutique hotel, The Goodwin, getting ready. The blue velvet and gold finishes were the perfect backdrop as Farrah and her bridesmaids spent the morning with their hair and makeup artists by All Dolled Up!

As Farrah and her bridesmaids finished getting ready for the big day, Farrah wanted to have a special moment with her dad. Her dad waited in the lobby of The Goodwin as Farrah made her way down from her hotel room. As her dad turned, both his and her eyes glassed over as he hugged his beautiful daughter on the day of her wedding. As the tender moment came to an end, it was time to go to the church. It was time to say I do.

The ceremony was held at the most gorgeous church I have ever seen, Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. From the high arches to the beautiful artwork, this church was a vision of luxury and elegance. But even the church couldn’t hold up to the love between Farrah and Anthony. The ceremony was breathtaking, and with a kiss they sealed their vows.

The only thing that could make this day better is if Farrah’s dog, Rigatoni, could be there to share their special day. Anthony had a few tricks up his sleeve though. He reached out to the trainer and arranged for Rigatoni to be secretly brought to Hartford City Hall as a surprise for Farrah! She was so excited to see her Rigatoni! We captured beautiful photographs at Hartford City Hall among the strong architecture and spiral staircases.

I mentioned how it was a rainy day in January? Well, by rainy I mean POURING! But, as we stepped out onto the streets of Hartford to take more photographs, the rain suddenly stopped. It was a wedding day miracle and made for the most beautiful photographs. The rain left a glittery dew across the backdrops, and only made their love glow brighter!

Now it was time to celebrate at The Society Room! It was the perfect setting for delicious food, cutting of the delicious cake, the first dance, an evening of fun, and more fantastic photographs! The bride and groom were sure to think of not only their friends and families, but their pets too with favor bags for dogs and cats!
